Welcome to Singles Odyssey's Meetup Group, a group catering to singles, newly single people, and almost single people ~grin~. We are all about singles! Are you looking to meet & socialize with other singles in the area? Our group is filled with friendly, genuine, sociable, warm, happy and fun loving singles ranging in age from late 20’s to 50’s. It would be a pleasure to have you join us. Anyone over 21 is welcome. THE MORE THE MERRIER!
We host a variety of singles events, giving singles many flavors of venues to choose from, nightlife to car shows, from Long Beach to San Juan Capistrano, and have been hosting fun singles events catering to single people for over 5 years and will continue to do so. These events usually draw anywhere from 20-600+ friendly and attractive singles. Our events are hosted to offer you the opportunity to meet, mix, mingle with other singles, make new friends and have fun with the possibility of meeting that “special someone”. We cater to the singles in the So Cal area. Our events do not have a meat market or a pick up bar atmosphere.
We cordially invite you and your single friends to become members of this friendly, fun loving, social singles group. The purpose of this group is to make and build friendships as well as personal relationships.

Koinonia! A Greek Word meaning: "The empowerment of a community to come together and accomplish things"! Appropriately, that is EXACTLY what is taking place every Friday Night at O.C. Singles and Couples for Christ! You are welcome to come and connect with us this coming Friday Night April 19th, at OCSFC and enjoy an evening of energizing interaction with other Single Adults. Also, bring a friend! Everyone needs a sense of Community, and your Friend(s) will have a fun time, too!

You are welcome to arrive early and enjoy a freshly made meal to start the evening! This meal is offered to you in our Fellowship Hall, starting at 6:00pm until 7:15pm. Our menu for this Friday Night is: Delicious Pulled Pork Sandwich lathered in Sweet Baby James BBQ Sauce, Potato Salad, Big Bag of Chips, Large Chocolate or Sesame Seed Muffin and a refreshing bottle of ice-cold water! The cost is a crazy low $7.00. Various Soft Drinks and coffee are available for $1.00.

At 7:30pm, Jesica Specht and her band are back with us to lead our worship segment of the evening. She will be bringing with her an awesome contemporary worship band.
After our worship experience, our Senior Pastor Thomas Rose is back with us. Pastor continues in a series entitled "So What's The Problem?" This Friday, we'll focus on "Solutions" to the Problem! What is the problem? Come and find out!
Also, we have a breakout class offered by Pastor Mark Presley. He will be speaking in The Gospel of John Chapter 21, entitled "The Hand of God in Our Lives". Part 2.
After our Formal Time, (9:00pm to 11:45pm) you are encouraged to stay for as long as you desire and enjoy the various activities that are available to you. Also, in our Fellowship Hall, you can enjoy Free Karaoke and Delicious Assorted Cookies. Also, for $1.00, soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, and delicious ice cream bars are available!

BACK BAY TRAILS - CASUAL BICYCLING - SOCIAL EXERCISE
Saturday 10:00 – Newport Beach. 20+/- miles of social, casual exercise with positive like-minded people. Great for first timers, shy people, and expert riders. Open for all levels but should have a basic level of fitness and be Willing and Able to ride as part of a supportive group. Are you ready for a beautiful fun day? We have scheduled stops along the way to ‘Group Up’ and hydrate. Any kind of bike or rent one. (Bike Rentals – see end of post – very easy)
TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT – SOCIAL EXERCISE ON THE MOVE.
If this seems too challenging or uncertain – just come and do the first part. This is how the ride is designed. The point is to get out and show up for a very social exercise in the beauty of where we live.

HISTORY OF OCEAN BIKE TOURS
We have led over 350+ bike tours over recent years on bike paths, side roads and paved trails (No PCH) along the ocean from Laguna Beach to the Queen Mary. Meet new friends, like-minded people, exercise and enjoy the beauty of where we live. Please read the entire post.
SELF REGULATED FUN
We ride as a safe, supportive group for casual exercise in well-organized rides and everyone is Self-Responsible. You should have a basic level of fitness and show up with water and a bike in good working order or rent a bike. (see end of post)

10:00 Leaving the Galley Cafe - 829 Harbor Island Dr in Newport Beach 92660. Come early to eat, relax and meditate.
RETURN BY
3:00+/- Route is designed to be individually shortened as needed.
BIKE RENTALS

THE RIDE
Plan for 4+/- hours and 19+/- miles casual biking. Leave from the Galley Café to the Dunes and then to Corona del Mar heights a short climb up to East Bluff neighborhoods to Bonita Canyon area and on to a picnic. After lunch we take a route through UCI to the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary and return back to Newport Beach via the Back Bay trail along Irvine Avenue into neighborhoods and on to Castaway Park and the Galley Cafe. A few hills and a bike with gears is highly recommended.
PICNIC LUNCH
We will pause for a picnic at Harbor View Shopping Center. Pack your lunch or many places to buy food.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Bike outings are rewarding and pleasant activities, but there are certain dangers you should be aware of including Covid 19. Those include, but are not limited to, impact or fall injuries, broken or dislocated bones. By signing up for this bike tour and showing up as a result of reading this Meet Up post, you assume the risks of the outing and agree to release the organization, the trip organizer, and other participants from claims for any and all injuries or other losses sustained during this trip. HELMETS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Park in the Bayside Center Shopping Plaza at Jamboree and Bayside Dr. Walk across the bridge onto Balboa Island on the right-hand sidewalk. The 1st building on the right is Sports Rent. Come early to rent a bike and peddle up Bayside Drive to the Galley Café to be ready for the 10:00 start. As you leave the rental place just stay on the left-hand sidewalk over the bridge and all the way to a left on Harbor Island Drive.
